Sunset in Baton Rouge was taken in July 2017 at Milford Wampold Memorial Park, overlooking University Lake. We were in town to support my sister during the USA Track and Field meet, and in a quiet moment, I noticed a lone figure on the pier, watching the sunset. The scene felt timeless—a pause between motion and rest—and became a reminder that even in life’s busiest moments, there is space for stillness and reflection.
